Dear friends, I would like you to meet Henry. A stubborn, single-minded, cynical, spiteful and terribly lonely 80-year-old. Not your ideal loving grandpa, right? After the loss of his beloved wife, Henry starts living like a recluse. His relationship with his only son, Jack, is going from bad to worse and his only trusty companion is his cat Charleton. Oh yeah and he absolutely loathes his daughter-in-law...
I couldn't blame the man, though. She is desperately trying to sell his house and put him in a home! What's even more interesting is that Henry is off travelling the globe as we speak. The author Christopher Hooks and his darling wife Elizabeth are on a mission: Henry is going to be a globetrotter in his eighties. How's that going to happen? Easy! Now that I've finished the book, I will pass it on to another book lover. Before I do, though, I will mark him any way that I want (doodles, sticker, signature etc.) and the person that receives the book has to do so too.
As of next week, my copy of Henry will be in the hands of a good friend from Ukraine. Ooh did I mention she a well-known poet in her country? Can't wait to see photos of Henry from Kiev!
Have a lovely day!
